CPIFA President Wang Chao meets with former Spanish Prime Minister and Chairman of the GATE Center Advisory Council, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero

In a meeting held on 5 July in the Chinese capital, the President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Wang Chao, received José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, former Prime Minister of Spain and Chairman of the GATE Center Advisory Board, and Daniel Romero-Abreu, Chairman of the GATE Center. The meeting was part of Zapatero’s visit to China on the occasion of his participation in the 8th World Summit of Think Tanks, an event of international relevance that brings together prominent leaders and experts to discuss global challenges.

During the meeting they had an in-depth dialogue on bilateral relations between China and Spain, as well as on the dynamics between China and Europe. Both leaders agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation in strategic areas such as trade, technology and culture, stressing the need for mutual understanding in an increasingly interconnected world.

This meeting not only reaffirms the ties between China and Spain, but also underlines the commitment of both nations to work together in creating a more collaborative and harmonious future.
