Evolution of Brazil’s economy

Brazil is the largest economy in Latin America and, following the recent presidential elections in the country, GATE Center’s Economic Area Director, Rafael Galán del Río, ‘Perpe’, analyzes how it has evolved to take first place. 

In the last two decades, GDP in real terms has increased by 54%, less than the region as a whole, which grew by 63%. However, it is expected to advance its position in the ranking of the largest economies by the end of 2022.
