On the occasion of United Nations Day, from GATE Center, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Chairman of the Advisory Council, reflects on the birth of the organization. The approval and entry into force of the Charter of the United Nations in 1945 in the city of San Francisco marked the beginning of a commitment among all countries to work together to maintain peace in the world.
Since its creation, under the promise of cooperation and dialogue, the organization has worked to improve the situation of millions of people around the world. Proof of this is the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Goals set to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, ensure health, education, promote peace and contribute to the fight against climate change.
At GATE Center we are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a project of progress for the entire global society.
